JESUS IS LORD

Praise the Lord for His goodness and His mercy that endures forever. Well we have an election coming up and i see the christian community all in an uproar...again over who God want as the president of this country. i have a really simple answer for you...whoever wins! i keep hearing the church say that we should get out and vote for the man of god for president, but really is there a man of God that runs for public office? for me, that is like saying that the wolf in sheep clothing is a man of God, because he is in the pulpit. i hear the voice of God saying that no liar will have a place in the kingdom of God, and i challenge you to show me the politician that is NOT a liar! especially those on the national scene! i read where God is not a respecter of person, and again i challenge you to show me the politician that is not a respecter of person. they mostly vote according to party line, and they take a party stance.
oh and i see church goers that look to these political leaders for help, they put their trust in these people and they spew their allegiance to them, but i hear the word of God telling me that cursed is the man that maketh man his trust. i trust in GOD! i pray for my political leaders. the man that will promote the fulfillment of the bible will be the one that wins, whether he/she be good or evil, democrat or republican; and the love of many will continue to wax cold. world peace will continue to be wasted hope, this colorblind society that people are searching for will continue to be a deludes dream.
on april 6, 1979 i made my choice. the choice that i was given was between Christ and satan, good and evil, life and death...i chose Jesus who is good, and He gave me life! as for my countries leaders... hmmm, i've had a president that was aligned with the astrological stars, which God commands His people NOT to consult with, two lying warmongers...and an adulterer, fornicating, lyiing rhodes scholar that didn't inhale!! none of which i voted for, or against, and none who can be called a man of God if we apply the qualifications to them from the word of God. however, i have still prayed for them all, and survived the wickedness of them all.
PRAISE THE LORD

He's Good

i'm up and i have nothing to say!
i don't know why i am not asleep but it has been a blessing  because i have been listening to some gospel music and looking back over my life. it is amazing how music can make us do that. there are times when i can recall what i was doing the first time i heard some of these songs. well, i can also do that with certain bible passages.
i can remember when i bought my first bible, i had twenty dollars to my name, and the bible cost eighteen seventy five... it as the best eighteen seventy five i have ever spent. i bought one of those pocket bibles, one that i could carry with me all the time. i wore it out in the first year.
i can remember the first time i read the story of the flood and i realized that the rainbow that i had seen all my life was a sign from God that He would no longer destroy the earth with water! the day i read that i cried because at that point i knew how ignorant i was about God. i saw just how little i knew about God,but i also saw how much i wanted to know about Him, and i knew that i couldn't depend on man to teach me about Him.
it wasn't long after that that God showed me that i didn't need man to teach me about Him, all i would need is the Holy Spirit. and i have been learning from Him ever since.
i love God

IN MY FATHERS' HOUSE

Well praise the Lord, it is a good thing to be found in the presence of the Lord and to know that He is the strong tower that the righteous run to and are saved. i've been asked why are Christians so hated? the short answer is because Jesus said we would be. however, that wouldn't really be giving thought to the question. yes, it is true that Jesus told us that we would be hated in this world because the world don't know us, and that is because they don't know Him, nor did they know His Father; and we have taken on Jesus in this life. but, as i thought about this, i realized that we are hated in these days not so much because we are Christlike, and because we are the "candles that sit on a hill", but because we have become more like the scribes and pharisees.
i've listened as our church leaders have tried to become all things to all people. i've watched as we have put  grey areas in the gospel where there is none; and i have seen the wolves in sheep clothing as they have bull dogged their way into the forefront of the church and wrestled the church out of the believers hand and put it in the hand of the devil. as i have stated before, i am not politically correct. i don't have to hide my beliefs because it may make me seem at odds with others. i am at odds with all that are not on the same page with Jesus. christians have to take on this responsibility. if they are not with us, they are against us. but this does not mean that we have to be mean spirited and hateful. are we to be condemn for what we believe? it seem so.
i've listened to people talk about how foolish we are as christians for believing in the talking snake, and that anyone who believe in the talking snake is crazy and should not be listened to. okay, that's what they believe...they have the right to believe that. does that make it right? does me believing that satan in the form of a serpent talked to eve in the garden of eden make me right? i believe it does, but because i believe it does, does  not mean it has to be right. my only answer to that is that we all live our beliefs, die and see who was right and who was wrong.
but back to why we are hated. we are hated because, not only do we say that homosexuality is wrong we scream at the homosexual and try and condemn him to hell. we are hated because we make our point loud and clear about our beliefs that abortions are murders; but we go on and bomb the clinics, and deny the abortioners their right to sin. we are hated because we say that we love God but then we are against those who are pro choice. God is, in a sense, pro choice. He bring to us a blessing and a cursing, life and death and tell us to choose the blessing, but He leaves the choice to us. and even when we choose the cursing He still love us...look back over your life and see all the times that you chose wrong, and yet He still loved and forgave you.  we forget that God allow His children to fail.
we are hated because we beat our chest and boast about the fact that we are not drug addicts, or harlots, or adulterers, or gay and we forget that in my Fathers house there will be those who came out of those backgrounds and life styles. we are hated because we forget that we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and we are so eager to cast a stone at others. we forget that the ministry that we have been given from God is a ministry of reconciliation. a ministry that bring people back to our God, in love and patience and long suffering. we are hated by others because we have forgotten that we, too, have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light. we may not have been in the darkness that our neighbor was in, but we were in darkness. there was something in our lives that, without the precious blood covering of our wonderful Savior Jesus, would have held us continually seperated from the Father and condemned us to a fiery hell.
we are hated because we need to be. we need the chastisement of God, the correction of God to get us off our pious highs and back into the reality of what we are, who we are, and what we have been ordained to be. we are hated because we have forgotten how to love unconditionally. we have gotten away from that single message that Jesus Christ is the way. we have forgotten that the drunk uncle that ruins the christmas fun with his drinking and foolish talk could someday be the one in the family that truly leads the family home to Jesus. we forget that that homosexual brother that is now the scourge of the family could one day have his moment in the presence of the Master and come out of his darkness and go forth and prove that homosexuality is a Choice, not a  birth defect. we are hated because we are not consistent. we are hated because we are commanded by God to abstain from the appearance of evil, and yet we rush to vote for people who we know are liars, but console ourselves by saying we are choosing the lesser of two evils. we are hated because we send a mix message to the ignorant and unlearned. we are hated because instead of laying down our swords as we have been commanded to do by Jesus, we fight and bicker and openly bring down each other by bringing a division in the body of Christ. we are hated because others actually read our bibles and see that we don't believe what the bible says to us, the way we want the rest of the world to think we do. we are so afraid to come out and say that we have no islamic brothers, we don't even have islamic friends, the most we can be to an islamic follower is a neighbor!
let us stop the hatred, let us be for real with who we are told we are by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. friends of God, enemies of this world and all that oppose the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. that's what i believe and that is what i will die believing, and if when it is all said and done i find that there was no god, or that at worse i have to come back as a rock, instead of a mountain....oops.

life is good

well it rained today and the field was all excited. i got a chance to get in the garden and get some grass out and turn the ground over before the rains came. but while i was in the gardengetting the grass out i thought about the mustard seed. what truly is the 'faith of a mustard seed'? most people think that it talks about the sie of ones faith, but if that is the case, why does Jesus chastise us for having little faith? as in 'o ye of little faith?'
as i worked  the  grass out of the garden i got to thinking about all the seeds. the faith that i saw of the seed is this... if it is placed in the right hands (GOD) is planted in  good   soil (JESUS) and recieves the proper nourishment (THE WORD) it will grow and prosper and produce to the extent that it was created. the seeds faith is that the farmer will do his job so that the seed will be able to do its. our faith should be that we are in the hands of God, we have been saved by Jesus, and we have the promise of God being presented to us daily through His word, and therefore there is no reason that we shouldn't go forth and bring forth fruit some forty, soome sixty and some hundred fold. for, when we place our trust in God, we become secured in the work of the cross, and are lead by the Holy Spirit, there is no way we fail. we grow and feed.
Praise the Lord
